Steps for Planning and Promoting Your Event at OKMBC
This guide can be used to help ministry leaders navigate the process of planning, approving, and promoting events effectively.
1. Start with Approval: Complete the Facility Use Request Form to:
- Get event approval after speaking with your Ministry's Elder/ Deacon.
- Request facility use (indoor or outdoor).
- Add your event to the internal calendar.
- Initiate the building to be unlocked, heated and cooled, and Security Officers provided for your event.
- Provide high-level event information to support ministries (e.g., Culinary, Beautifying) to assist with building setup.
2. Provide Event Details: Once your event is approved and fully planned, use the appropriate forms or contacts:
- Flier Requests: Email the Administrative Assistant at admin.assistant@orchardknob.org.
- Forms, Social Media, Zoom, or Fund Requests: Use the Ministry Sales Form.
- Support Ministry Help (Culinary, Beautifying, etc.): Contact their leaders directly with your specifics.
3. Market Your Event: Use these forms or contacts to promote your event:
- Website Events Calendar, Page Corrections, or Approved Page Updates: Use the Website Change Form.
- Ministry Moments: Email Deacon Flint at dlf925@comcast.net.
4. Additional Needs
- Requisition Form: Request money, reimbursements, or use of the church credit card.
- Event Photos: Use the Ministry Event Photos Form to share pictures with the Media Ministry.
- Admin Site Access: Use the Administration Site Access Form for important ministry tools.
